Spent the day running around town with the hubs. We stopped at one of our go-to spots for a bite to eat and a sweet tea. You know I’m all about keeping it casual, and nothing says casual like jeans, a black tee, & some sneaks. I have this tee in almost every color — it’s from Nordstrom for only $20 and the fit is just right.

I also picked up these Topshop leopard sneaks and they are so stinkin’ cute. They’re super comfy and under $50 at Nordstom. Since leopard is my favorite color, I had to have them! Another one of those great closet staples. You can wear them with so many different looks. From jeans and a tee to dresses and shorts, they’ll be wardrobe ready all summer long.

CLASSIC CARGO SKIRT

You guys have been asking for more dressy date night looks. I found this adorable tan cargo skirt and classic black tank top at J.ing and it’s seriously one of my favorite outfits ever. This skirt is is so classic and fits so dang good. It comes with a belt that matches the skirt too. *I did remove the string from the cargo skirt. The hubs said this is one of his favorite outfits on me so I’m definitely wearing out on our next date night.

I love it paired with this classic black turtleneck tank also from J.ing and loveee how they look together. J.ing seriously has the cutest stuff and lots of good workwear options. The material on this top is super soft and light weight which is perfect heading into spring and summer. You can wear this tank so many different ways. It would be perfect to wear to work too. SPRING SKINCARE ESSENTIALS

This month I’m turning 30 and I can honestly say I’ve never loved my skin more! I’ve never ever felt this confident without makeup and it feels so dang good. Over the last couple months I have been sharing my skincare journey with you guys–you can check out my Instagram “skincare” highlights to see what I’ve been using. I feel like I have a pretty good regimen going on right now but there were a few things missing.

I was looking for a new moisturizer and cleanser when I came across Colleen Rothschild. All of her products have amazing reviews–I just had to get some and try for myself. I’ve used some of her products in the past and really liked them. She also makes my ALL TIME favorite candle Róisín–it smells like warm cozy roses. It’s literally my favorite scent!!

I checked out the “best sellers” and picked up the Cleaning Balm, Extreme Recovery Cream,Dual Enzyme Polish, and the Clarifying Detox Mask. RADIANT CLEANSING BALM

This cleanser has over 500 review with 5 stars so of course I had to try it. This is definitely one of the best cleansers I’ve ever used. It also comes in a mini version. In the past I’ve always had to use a makeup wipe or makeup remover then a cleanser to get my skin really clean. The cleansing balm does everything in one step. It dissolves all traces of makeup–even mascara and leaves my skin feeling soft and it looks soo glowy and radiant.

HOW I USE IT:

I use this every single night before bed–I NEVER go to bed with makeup on. EVER! I scoop up a small amount and rub my hands together to warm product. Apply it dry skin and massage all over face–it feels sooo good and your makeup just melts away. Wet clean wash cloth with hot water, wipe off balm, and watch ALL of your makeup disappear. I always rinse my skin with cool water.

DUAL ENZYME POLISH

This might be my new favorite skincare product!! This is a exfoliating mask–it gently exfoliates your skin and leaves it super soft and glowy. I’m seriously obsessed! My skin already feels smoother and I swear my dark spots are lightening up and my skin tone is more even since I’ve started using this.

HOW I USE IT:

I’ve been using this about 3 times a week. After cleansing, I apply an even layer to damp skin in circular motions to lightly exfoliate as I apply. I leave it on for about 5-10 minutes–sometimes longer if I’m taking a bath. When I’m ready to take it off I do circular motions again to exfoliate my skin then wipe it off with a clean warm wash cloth. I always rinse my skin with cool water.

This is a charcoal detox mask–it also works as a spot treatment. I can already see a difference in the pores on my nose. They look smaller and there isn’t as much redness on the sides of my nose. Also, since I’ve been using this I haven’t had a break out.

HOW I USE IT:

I apply a layer to my face and neck–just make sure you avoid the eye area. I leave it on for about 10 minutes. Wipe it off with a clean warm washcloth. I always rinse my skin with cool water. I use 2-3 times a week–on days when I don’t use the Dual Enzyme Polish. You can also use it as a spot treatment as needed.

EXTREME RECOVERY CREAM

This moisturizer is a game changer! I’ve been using this every single night since I got it and wake up with super hydrated glowing skin every morning. The formula is thick but it doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. I don’t think I could live without this moisturizer.

HOW I USE IT:

I apply this on top of my serums at night. It locks everything in and feels amazing on my skin. You can use this morning and night.

RESTORATIVE HAND CREAM

This is something I just added to my skincare regimen. I want to keep my hands looking young and healthy too. This hand helps minimize the appearance of age spots and helps keep your cuticles moisturized. This also keeps my self tanner looking more natural on my hands. If your skin is dry the self tanner will settle into the dry areas and give you creepy orange hands. haha! I loveee the way it smells and the formula isn’t greasy at all. I need to order an extra one to keep in my purse!!

HOW I USE IT:

This is always the last step before bed. I keep this on my nightstand and apply it all over my hands. I also apply this to my hands after right after I finish self tanning. I also use this in the morning after I finish getting ready for the day.

SPRING FRONT PORCH

Who’s ready for Spring?

This week we gave our front porch a little spring update and it seriously makes my heart so happy. It’s still chilly out but that isn’t stopping me from brightening up our house and getting it ready for warm weather. I found this teal geometric rug on sale at The Home Depot. They have lots of rugs on sale 20% off right now just in time for a spring refresh! The color is soo pretty for spring time and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted the porch to have pops of teal.

When planning the porch decor I knew I wanted a layered look. After I saw these teal garden stools instantly envisioned them on either side of the door with plants on top. Honestly, it turned out even better than I was expecting! I knew I wanted to add some fresh flowers and instantly fell in love with these bright tulips. The white flower pots really make the flowers pop. How cute are the owl pots? I’m seriously obsessed. They are under $20 at The Home Depot.

Speaking of layers, I also layered the rugs and love how they look together. The hello door mat pops so much on the teal. This one is also from The Home Depot–it’s only $12 and so dang cute!! To finish off the space I added a white tulip wreath to the door. Our home is so much brighter and more inviting now.

SPRING BASICS UNDER $25

You guys have been asking for more affordable outfit options for spring. Let me tell you…I hit the jackpot with this outfit!! Everything was under $25 at Walmart. This is definitely one of my go-to looks in the spring and summer. All of these pieces are closet staples that you can mix and match to create lots of cute and comfy outfits.

Let’s start with this EV1 chambray top–it’s only $20 at Walmart and amazing quality. The material is super soft and it’s such a good fit. I’m wearing size XS — I’d say it runs true to size. These shirts are perfect to wear tied up, like I did here, a front tuck, or just wear it over your favorite tank top. It can be worn so many ways.

White jeans are definitely a year round thing for me. They go with everything and brighten up any look. These EV1 jeans are such a good fit and under $25 at Walmart. I love the cropped hem! I’m wearing size 0 in these and they are the perfect fit.

I saved the best for last…

You guys, these white cutout shoes are ONLY $14! Walmart is killing it right now. These mules are sooo stinkin’ cute! I’m going to be living in these babies. They are super comfortable and they will look super cute with everything this spring and summer. Definitely one of my all time favorite purchases!

COMFY SPRING STYLE

Can you believe it’s the end of February already?

I can’t wait for warm and sunny spring weather. It might be rainy and gloomy outside but my Abercrombie sweatshirt is bright and sunny. This comfy coral pullover is perfect to brighten up your wardrobe heading into spring and summer. It’s a cropped fit and perfect to pop over anything. The material is super soft and would be cute to wear over your swimsuit too. It also comes in mint green, grey, and black! I seriously want them all.

I popped in on with a pair of high waisted denim cutoffs and the cutest little ball cap. These Abercrombie shorts and definitely a spring/summer must have. The fit is sooo good and of course I love the rips on them. I love the high waist–it makes them super flattering and they make my legs look longer! Yesss please!!

HIS & HERS: CASUAL BEACH STYLE

We packed up and headed to the beach this week. It had been so cold and dreary these last few weeks we couldn’t wait to get away and soak up the sun. Needless to say, this is definitely our happy place!! It’s been soo beautiful out and OMG the sunsets have been unreal!

Before we left I picked up a fresh white button up for the hubs. You can’t go wrong with a classic white shirt–this one is trim fit and looks soo good on him. It’s so classic and can be worn so many ways (shorts, jeans, dress pants, etc.). Definitely a closet staple for the guys! This one is from Nordstrom and was under $50.

I also grabbed him a new pair of tan shorts. These were also under $50 at Nordstrom and come in a few different colors. You just can’t go wrong with this combo–it’s my favorite look on him!! I also picked up this cute stripe shirt for myself. It’s lightweight and the perfect beachy color.

This month, I decided to take the Pantene 14 Day Challenge and I switched over to a new shampoo & conditioner. I am a total beauty junkie so any time a new product comes out I can’t wait to try it out. 2019 NEW YEARS GOALS

Can you believe the year is over?!?

2018 was amazing! To recap: We traveled to a bunch of new islands, visited new states, and flew all across the country. Met new friends in new cities and explored our hearts out. Sold our home, moved out of state, and started a new adventure. Set some major goals and crushed them all. Now it’s time to do it all over again! Tonight I’m celebrating all of my accomplishments in comfy clothes with a Diet Coke. Two of my favorite things!

Every year I sit down and make a list of personal a professional goals. We’re staying in tonight sipping on Diet coke & munching on popcorn making plans for the new year. Tonight I’m writing down all of my goals for 2019, and thought I’d share them with you. This way you guys can help hold me accountable! Ha! But seriously, it always helps to share your goals with others that can help encourage you and remind you what you’re working towards.

2018 Highlights:

Traveling to Aruba–OMG flamingos!! Getting a LikeTOknow.it takeover. Visiting new cities with my blogger besties. Reaching 400K Instagram followers. Getting my hair done at Habit Salon @hairby_chrissy. Speaking on the LikeTOknow.it panel in Miami. Hanging out at Universal Studios with Urban Decay. Moving to a new state.

Personal Goals:

Wake up at 7am everyday. Eat healthier. Go to bed earlier. Work out 4 x a week. Travel to 10 new cities. Make new friends. Read/listen to more books. Relax more. Worry less. Cook more.

Create new YouTube videos every week. Get 100k YouTube subscribers. Get more organized. Get 550k Instagram followers. Share more home decor content.
