It’s no surprise I love comfy outfits. This time of year, you can almost always find me in a simple sundress, or jeans and a tee. I live for good comfortable pieces, especially when it comes to shoes. Today I’ve teamed up with my friends at Zappos.com to share these super comfy oxfords from Pikolinos.
The Pikolinos Royal oxfords are stylish, classic, and can be worn with virtually anything. After 34 years of making shoes, Pikolinos has definitely got the comfort factor down. The leather is super soft and doesn’t require any breaking in. I chose the color stone, which is a light metallic pewter. They totally elevate any outfit, and instantly make it more stylish and put together.
Today I wore them with a simple olive green ruffle dress, braids, and a hat for a casual boho esque look. The Royal oxfords would also look great paired with anything from jeans and a tee, to dress pants and button up. The Pikolinos oxfords can definitely be dressed up or down.

Clean beauty is becoming a huge trend–and rightfully so. Today I wanted to share a few green beauty products that I’ve added to my bathroom recently and have been using daily. The best part is ALL of them are under $10 at Walmart. Keeping my body healthy is my number one priority. I’ve been eating healthier and working out, but I’ve never really though much about the ingredients in products I put on my skin everyday. It’s easy to forget that your skin is your biggest organ and it absorbs everything you put on it.
With that in mind, I wanted to add some clean products into my daily routine. It feels so good knowing that what I’m putting on my skin isn’t harmful or full of chemicals. I love that all of these products are affordable and all available at Walmart.
One of our New Year’s resolutions is to get healthy and get fit. Even though we are in decent shape, there is still room for improvement. I really just want to be able to walk up the stairs without being winded. Ha! I also want to get back in the routine of eating healthy. No more binge eating sweets like they’re going out of style!
First of all, you can’t start a new year and new workout routine without new workout clothes. On New Years day the hubs and I went to Nordstrom and each picked up some new fitness gear. The hubs got a new black sweatshirt–it has a big front pocket which is great for working out & it’s only $45! He already wants it in a few more colors. He also found a pair of Zella joggers–again, they have lots of pockets, these ones zip, which is a must for him. Clearly he has a thing for black–it’s slimming right?!
Nordstrom has everything you’ll need for you and your workout partner. My BKR studded water bottle is back in stock–it’s seriously the cutest thing ever and I swear I drink more water on days I use it.
In the past we’ve started the new year with a gym membership. I don’t know about you, but for me the gym can be very intimidating. I find myself not knowing exactly what to do next, and tend to get frustrated. So I found myself searching for a fitness program that tells me exactly what to do and will help me every step of the way. That’s when I came across BBG.
I heard a lot of girls talking about BBG, and after a little research I realized it’s exactly what I needed. For those of you that don’t know, BBG stands for Bikini Body Guide. It’s a program designed by Kayla Itsines including daily workouts, meal plans and access to an entire community of BBG users that help keep each other motivated.
The app includes a calendar that shows you what to do each and every day. When you start your daily workout, there are detailed instructions and a video of how each exercise is done. The workouts don’t take very long, maybe 30 minutes or so, but they can sure kick your butt.
Here’s a look at this weeks workout. Also note that I chose the beginner program because I am just getting back into it. They have programs built for those of you that may be more fit starting out.
Monday – Legs Tuesday – 300 rep challenge and low intensity cardio Wednesday – Arms and abs Thursday – Low intensity cardio Friday – Full body workout Saturday – Low intensity cardio Sunday – Rest day (aka my favorite day)
One of the hardest things to do, especially when first starting a new program, is to stay motivated. The app is really nice because it shows your goal for each day. Instead of walking into a gym not knowing what you’re going to do for the days workout, it’s right there in front of you. I also like that you can flip over to the community tab in the app and see all the other people just like you motivating and encouraging each other.
After you follow along with the day’s workout and make it to the end, the activity is marked as complete in the app. It’s nice to be able to look back and see all those completed activities. They even have timed challenges. I’ll admit I struggled a little bit with the first 300 rep challenge because I was sore from the previous days workout, but I can’t wait to try again and beat my time next week.
When it comes time to reward yourself for all your hard work, nothing beats a new pair of sneaks, that fitness tracker you’ve had your eye on, or even a trip to the salon for a spray tan to show off those new muscles you’re making. Don’t forget to reward your body as well for all it’s hard work. After a hard workout, it’s nice to take a relaxing hot bath with my favorite bath bomb. If I asked really nicely, I may even get a massage from the hubs.
Next month I”ll do an update and let you know how it’s going. If you have ANY questions at all, I’m more than happy to help. Just leave a comment below or email me and I’ll help in any way I can.
We recently turned a little work trip into a weekend getaway and spent the day in Key Largo. Our hotel was right on the marina and had a little beach overlooking the water. I spent the morning there just watching the boats go by. We grabbed brunch at The Key Largo Conch House which was beyond amazing. The restaurant was inside a Key West style house with gorgeous vaulted ceilings. It was the perfect beachy atmosphere. After that, we spent the day exploring at John Penny Camp State Park. We went kayaking for a few hours and got to see so many fish and giant stingray. It was amazing! I can’t wait to go back to the Keys and spend more time exploring.
In the past I was always afraid to wear whites. I never thought I could keep white pants clean all day, let alone an all white outfit. In Florida, I think an all white look is acceptable year round, and I take full advantage. This Design History oversized sweater is so comfy, and the multi stripe design is so fun. Design History has so many cute pieces in their Spring 2016 collection. Lots of blues, whites, knits, and stripes…basically all of my favorite things rolled up into a great Spring collection! I linked a few of my favorite pieces from the collection down below.
This flowly embroidered top has quickly become one of my favorites. I wore this look to brunch over the weekend. I tied the top for a more dressy look, but it looks great untied too for a more laid back style. It is so comfy and can be worn anywhere from brunch to the beach. The best part is it’s only $28!! It has been the perfect addition to my spring wardrobe, and I know I will wear it so much during the summer months too.
Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend! -SHOP THE LOOK-
I snagged this BECCA one piece from Nordstrom before heading down to Key Largo for a mini vaca. I’ve always thought one piece swimsuits were too “old” for me but this season definitely proved me wrong. This suit is so flattering and the cutouts give it a sexy look without revealing too much. The white version is so cute and I love that the crochet design is a little different than the black suit. I might have to buy that one too before they sell out!
I will be living in this little black bikini all spring and summer long!

Feeling nautical in The Florida Keys! Last weekend we took a mini vaca to Key Largo. We spent our days relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sun. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect-sunshine and a cool breeze! My floppy hat was perfect for keeping the sun off my face. Our hotel was right on the marina and surrounded by restaurants playing live music. We loved walking along the dock and checking out all the boats and listening to the bands! I just got this striped top from Forever 21 and knew it would be perfect for our trip. I wore this look to dinner at The Fish House-it was recommended by the locals so we had to go. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and it was beyond amazinggg!! It was the perfect little getaway!

Casual with a hint of edge. This biker jacket has been the perfect addition to my wardrobe. I’ve been wearing with everything from dresses to distressed denim. The faux leather is unbelievably soft and sooo comfortable. Fingers crossed the cool weather sticks around so I can wear it longer. I hope you’re having a great week so far! Thanks for stopping by!
