I wanted to give you guys a little update on my fitness routine. I get a lot of questions about what I do to stay fit. I’d have to say one of the most important things is my diet. I’m not on a diet, but I do try and watch what I eat. Ya’ll know I love sweets, but it’s all about moderation.
The other part of the fitness equation is exercise. I’m sure some of you are like me and find it hard to get motivated when it comes to working out. I’ve thought about hiring a personal trainer, but it’s soooo expensive. Also, since I travel quite a bit, I’d be missing and rescheduling all kinds of workouts.
I recently came across this mobile personal training app called Ladder. It’s basically a personal trainer in my phone. I got to pick the trainer that I thought matched up with my workout goals, and we message each other directly through the app. My trainer is Kenzie! We talked about what my goals are — to be toned, where I workout — for me it’s in my home or on the road, what type of equipment I have —dumbbells and kettle bells, how often I would be able to workout, and what my nutrition is like — not the best.

My personal trainer Kenzie created a workout to get me on track. I like how the workouts are tailored to me and my abilities. With other apps I’ve found it hard to stay motivated because of how advanced the workouts are. I like how my trainer and I can message right through the app anytime. If I need to talk about how things are going, ask for advice on something or if I need to raise or lower the intensity, I can just shoot her a message and she can adjust the workout.
For my workouts I’m focusing on toning my booty, my core, and my arms. I’m on a three day a week schedule right now. One of my workouts is called Kardashian Boooty 🍑 — I might have to slow it down a bit if it gets that big HAHA! For this workout I do lunges, squats, glue kickbacks, burpees, jump & sumo squats…

One of the questions I get asked all the time is how often I wash my hair. People are always amazed when I say about once a week. We are getting settled in our new house and already love it so much! The hubs brought home these pretty mums for me over the weekend and they make my heart so happy. I did cinch it up and drape some material over the belt to make it short enough to wear with boots– remember…I’m only 5’1″! #ShortGirlProblems
That being said, it’s plenty long enough to wear to work & church. It’s nice and roomy too–perfect for Turkey Day!! With the holidays right around the corner, this dress is going to get lots of wear. It will be so cute to wear for Thanksgiving. And you could wear it during Christmas too–I’d pair it with black tights and booties.

We came across the cutest fall porches in Portland. When I saw this one I couldn’t resist taking a pic with all of these pumpkins. As I was packing for this trip I realized how much pink stuff I brought. The pink stripe in this color block sweater totally sold me on it. This chunky knit is from Dynamite & it’s under $50!
Denim is definitely my go-to all year round but in fall I like to wear dark wash denim. These Kate high waist skinny jeans are so perfect for fall and are get to wear for dressier occasions since they don’t have any rips in them. These are also under $50 at Dynamite! I paired them with these black V-booties–they are so unique and super flattering. The deep V makes your legs look longer and I’m all about it!
