I always like to get a head start on my Christmas shopping to make the holidays a little more relaxing leading up to Christmas. To kick of my holiday gift guides, I thought I would start with my personal favorite, All Things Cozy!
There’s nothing better than getting a cozy gift that you will actually use and enjoy. For me you can’t go wrong with blankets, pj’s, candles, coffee mugs, etc. I use them all year round and love getting and giving them as gifts.
Below I’ve rounded up some of my favorite cozy gifts for anyone on your list.
For us, Friday means date night! We always like to take one night out of the week and spend some quality time together. After a busy week it’s always nice to put our phones down and enjoy each-others company–and of course some yummy food. Earlier this week I stopped into Nordstrom and got this gingham button-down shirt for the hubs. He loves getting new clothes but hates shopping–I think most guys are like that.
When it comes to mens style, I think less is more. Having a few closet staples that he can mix and match on his own is the way to go. A few nice button-downs, a good pair of jeans, boots, and a nice belt and he’s good to go.
My hubby lovesss these TopMan distressed skinny jeans from Nordstrom–he wears them all the time. The fit is great and they look good dressed up with a nice button-down, with a leather jacket and boots, or with sneakers and a t-shirt. They’re under $100 and definitely a staple for him.
Another closet staple every guy needs is a good belt. We splurged on a reversible Gucci belt a few years ago. The hubs wears it almost everyday–it goes with everything and totally elevates the look. This would make an amazing gift for your guy this holiday season too.
Guys usually only have a few pairs of shoes–most of the time I see guys wearing sneakers with everything. My hubs spotted these suede boots last time we were in NYC. It was cold so he wanted something to keep his feet warm. This style of boot is so versatile and instantly makes you look more put together. I think every guy needs a pair of these.
UGG season is officially here and I couldn’t be more excited to break mine out. I love to pair them with black leggings, a tank, and a cozy cardigan when running errands or just lounging around the house. You can’t go wrong with these fall basics. This look is my go-to all fall and winter long. I live for good fall basics and these are a must-have for staying cozy all season long.
UGG’s are a fall and winter staple in my wardrobe. These ones are sooo comfy and completely form to your foot. Nordstrom has so many cute pairs out this season–I’m so temped to get the short version too. They are basically slippers that you can wear out of the house–I mean, yes please!!
If you’re looking for a new cardigan this season, look no further. This one from Nordstrom seriously has the softest material everrr. I never want to take it off! It is a little pricey but trust me, it’s worth every penny! Do yourself a favor and get it!!

With the holidays right around the corner, it’s time to start making your lists and planning your gifts. This morning we woke up to a chilly 50 degrees–it finally feels like fall! I stayed cozied up inside all morning in my favorite UGG sweatpants. Since I work from home, I basically live in cozy clothes when I’m working. Needless to say these sweatpants have gotten lots of wear–they are sooo comfortable! I got these ones from Nordstrom.
From the moment I wake up, I am almost always wearing slippers. We have tile and wood floors all through our house so my feet are always cold. I just got these UGG shearling slippers from Nordstrom and I am in loveee! I don’t think I’ve ever had slippers so comfortable.
If you’re looking for a few gift ideas this holiday season I would definitely recommend these UGG slippers and this UGG shearling throw. Both are so soft, under $100, and would be great for anyone on your list this year. You can’t go wrong with cozy gifts!!
Since the weather has finally cooled off, I’ve been in the mood to bake. This morning I woke up and decided to bake my favorite honey glazed pumpkin banana bread. I’m sure you know by now I am obsessed with all things pumpkin. This recipe is super easy and perfect for breakfast or dessert. I like to make a big batch of these during the holidays to give as small gifts too.
I’ve included the full recipe at the end of the post!!
I found this recipe on Pinterest and tweaked it just a little by using 2 mini loaf pans. I did have a little extra leftover so I baked 24 mini muffins too. Just be sure to adjust the time to about 25 minutes for the mini loaf pans and 12 minutes for the mini muffins.
HONEY GLAZED PUMPKIN BANANA BREAD
INGREDIENTS
Breads:
2 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. canola oil
4 eggs
2/3 c. water
1 (15 oz.) can 100% pure pumpkin
1/2 c. mashed ripe banana
3 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
Glaze (optional):
2 T. butter, softened
1/4 c. honey
1 c. confectioners’ sugar
about 1 1/2 tsp. water
pinch ground cinnamon
TO MAKE THE BREADS:
In a large mixing bowl, beat together sugar and oil with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and ginger.
Add flour mixture and water alternately to the sugar mixture, beating on low after each addition until just combined. Beat in pumpkin and mashed banana until just combined.
Divide batter into two greased 9×5-inch loaf pans (**I used two mini loaf pans & had some leftover). Bake at 350℉ for 50 to 60 minutes for the 9×5 or **25 minutes for the mini loaf pans until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool loaves in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
TO GLAZE (optional):
In a bowl, beat softened butter and honey until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar and cinnamon, adding just enough water to make glaze a thick drizzling consistency. Drizzle evenly over bread with a spoon. Sprinkle with chopped pecans, if desired.

Last week we took a little trip up to Michigan for a fall getaway and to visit family. My husband has relatives that live just outside of Detroit. It was so nice to see all of them and get to experience some real fall weather. The leaves up there are soo gorgeous and the weather couldn’t have been better!
Here’s a little roundup of what we did and where we went during our trip.

The leaves in Michigan are soo gorgeous!
We visited Blake’s Apple Orchid in Armada, MI.
They have yummy apple cider and a you-pick apple orchid.
Driving through Armada we came across the cutest pumpkin patch at Vanhoutte Farms.
Of course we had to stop!
They had enormous pumpkins.
This one weighed 1,222 pounds!
We were told by the locals that we had to visit Yates Cider Mill in Rochester Hills, MI.
It definitely didn’t disappoint! The donuts were amazing!
See that little speck on my donut–yeah that’s a bee.
Apparently he wanted some donut too!
They also have a gorgeous walking trail and a river that runs through the property.
It was sooo pretty!
After visiting with family we took a 2 hour drive north to Port Austin, MI and stayed at the family cottage on Lake Huron. It was such a relaxing getaway.
We had a bonfire on the lake, roasted marshmallows, and watched the stars come out.
Definitely checked a few things off my bucket list during this trip!
We woke up to 40 degree weather and ran out for some apple cider.
It was definitely my drink of choice during this trip–it was sooo good!!
We visited George George Park and found these enormous leaves.
How incredible?!?
I’ve never seen leaves this big in my life.
The red leaves are my absolute favorites!
I kept calling them fire trees cause they were so vibrant and bright.
On the last day of our trip we visited the Henry Ford Museum.
My husbands grandfather retired from Ford, so naturally he is a big Ford fan.
I found the perfect red leaf while walking around the Henry Ford Museum.
Travel style!
When we got to our gate the guy told me I looked like a pop-star in this outfit.
Totally made my day! Ha!
