The Cloister At Sea Island, GA

A few weeks ago some of my blogger besties and I took a weekend trip to Sea Island, GA. We stayed at The Cloister and seriously had the best girls trip. Every inch of this 5 star resort is breathtaking and so picturesque–seriously a bloggers dream. These pictures do no do this place justice–it reminded me of Downton Abbey with a slight southern twist.

Pulling up to the resort I was in awe–The Cloister is jaw dropping and the southern hospitality is second to none. I was greeted by the most helpful and kind gentlemen who unloaded my car and brought all of my overstuffed bags up to my room–thank goodness cause I totally overpacked and wouldn’t have been able to manage on my own #bloggerproblems 😉
After checking in, we got settled in to our incredible rooms. The rooms at the Cloister are enormous and so beautifully decorated. I roomed with Julianna Clair from BlushAndCamo.com and we were both in awe of the room. It had an amazing balcony with a river view–seriously so peaceful.
The bathrooms were so impressive–and it’s actually where we spend the most time, cause I take forever to get ready in the mornings.
They also had  complimentary Nespresso Coffee in the rooms which was delish. I loved coming back to our room at the end of the night to find our room tidied up, lights dimmed, and chocolates on the pillows. It’s those little touches that make a trip that much better.

After getting all settled in, we headed out to dinner at Southern Tide which was just a short walk from the main building. I ordered the Ahi Tuna, wine, and corn bread muffins–it was incredible. All of the food was divine and the service was great.
In the morning we all headed down to the Library for coffee and pastries–it was so impressive. They also had a breakfast buffet with everything you could want in the morning. Julianna and I ate there the first morning and loved every bite–the southern grits were to die for.
We had lunch at the River Bar, which was on the backside of the hotel overlooking the water. Everything on the menu sounded incredible, I ordered the Melon and Crab Salad and had the best bellini.
Sea Island has something for everyone, young & old, adventure seekers, families, or someone just looking to relax a little.  The resort has so many fun activities like yacht charters, golf, on site shopping (they just opened a Peter Millar boutique which is amazing), horseback riding, water sports, and even hunting and shooting.
We took the Cloister Belle Vintage Yacht Private Charter and had the best time. The weather was so perfect and relaxing. We got to watch the sunset and even had dolphins riding next to the boat, which was so amazing.
On the last night of our stay we had a chance to dine at the only 5 star restaurant in the state of Georgia, which just so happens to be the Georgian Room at the Sea Island Resort. The dinner was nothing short of spectacular.

The private dining room has the most gorgeous tapestries, a stunning chandelier, and we even had our own sommelier who guided us through wine pairings. The 4-course dinner was such an amazing experience and the presentation was so impressive.

They surprised us all with an amazing smoking dessert display at the end of dinner. I think we all squealed in excitement!

While we were there we had a chance to style our favorite pieces from the Draper James Holiday Collection. All of the pieces were so fun and festive and perfect for any holiday occasion.
All of us girls had the most incredible weekend and are already planning a trip back to Sea Island. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for an amazing getaway.
