GRAND VELAS RIVIERA MAYA RESORT GIRLS TRIP

Mexico is always a good idea!!
Our girls trip to  Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort was one for the books. I’m already dying to go back…seriously, So. Much. Fun! Last year, a group of us planned a fun trip to Sea Island, Ga ( see the full post here). It was so much fun that we decided to plan another group trip–Yay!! Mexico was our top choice, and was a pretty easy flight for all of us. After a 2.5 hour flight I arrived in paradise….

Be sure to scroll to the bottom for a full review of the resort.

THE RESORT
Pulling up to  Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort I was totally wowed. The hotel gates are surrounded by water–it’s so impressive. There are 3 all inclusive hotels on the property– Zen Grand (the jungle),  Grand Class (adults only), and Ambassador (family friendly). We stayed at the Zen Grand which was very peaceful and relaxing. We took shuttles between the different hotels to go to the beach and dinner–they were all incredible.
Our girl’s trip started as soon as we checked in–we each got a glass of fresh juice to enjoy as our luggage was brought to the room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our suites were HUGE and all had private terraces overlooking the native jungle. Talk about paradise!!
THE POOL
The pool at Zen Grand was a jungle oasis. I’ve actually never seen a pool like it before-it was a multi level infinity pool. We spent a lot of time relaxing there. Most of the time we were the only ones which was so nice. We also took a few trips over to the Ambassador to visit the beach-front pool. This area was busier but still has a relaxing vibe. The infinity pool over looked the ocean, doesn’t get much better than that.
THE FOOD
The food at Grand Velas blew us all away. There are 8 restaurants on the property, which is impressive in itself, not to mention it’s all inclusive. We ordered room service everyday! It was incredible and so nice to eat out on the terrace every morning.
Each night we dined at a new restaurant. The first night we had Frida which was the most amazing authentic Mexican fine dining. On the second night we dined at Piaf where we had incredible French cuisine. The last night we indulged in an 11 course dining experience. This was my absolute favorite and is a meal I’ll remember forever.
THE SERVICE
The staff at Grand Velas were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They were so much fun–they were even teaching us Spanish. I still only know how to properly say about two words…hola and gracias. haha! Francisco was our 24-hour personal concierge. He was so fun and was beyond helpful. The service was impeccable and was so appreciated by all of us.
THE SPA
See how we spent our day at the Grand Velas Spa  HERE!
OUR TRIP
Overall our trip to  Grand Velas Riviera Maya couldn’t have been better. We had such a fun girls trip! I’m already dying to go back to Grand Velas with the hubs. This resort truly has something for everyone of all ages.
Grand Velas would be ideal for honeymooners, a family vacay, or just for a fun getaway with friends. The resort is perfect for ALL occasions and would also be an amazing place to get married.
