Dove Hair Care Routine

That’s why her hair is so big. It’s full of secrets.

Or in my case, lots of products and lack of washing! ha!
Since I’ve had long hair I’ve gotten to the point where I only wash it once a week or so–which is good and bad. My hair takes foreverrr to wash, condition, dry, style, etc. So washing once a week saves me lots of time and allows me to get the most out of my hairstyles–my curls usually last a few days. This was great until I realized I started to get a dry, itchy, and sometimes, flaky scalp. While I’m not 100% sure what’s causing it…could be dandruff or it could be product buildup or maybe a combination of both. Either way, I needed a solution.

I recently started using the  Dove DermaCare Scalp series. It’s an anti-dandruff shampoo & conditioner with active Pyrithione Zinc that helps tackle dandruff while moisturizing your hair and scalp. Its PH balanced formula is designed for daily use (or weekly in my case ha!) and leaves your hair feeling smooth, manageable, and most importantly, flake free.
I use the  Dove DermaCare Scalp Pure Daily Care 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner then follow it up with a deep conditioning treatment. So far I’ve been loving it!! It leaves my hair feeling moisturized, fresh, and better than ever. I also picked up the  Dove DermaCare Scalp Pure Daily Care Shampoo for the hubs.

  1. This is such a gorgeous post! How do you get away with washing it once a week and having amazing hair though?! For example, I too wash my hair once a week but days 5-7 its greasy and the cowlick on the back of my scalp shows terribly so my hair has to be in a ponytail/bun, LOL. But your hair is mostly down and still INSANELY gorgeous! Is it the shampoo?!
