Unless you’re in Florida–we still have another month or two of summer!
Transitioning outfits from summer to fall is a great way to get more wear out of your favorite warm weather pieces before packing them up. Closet staples like a denim jacket, neutral hat, and neutral booties are all great pieces to pair with your favorite summer dresses, shorts, and tanks to make them fall ready.
Another way to take your look from summer to fall is to add a darker lip and a smokey eye. I’m still on the hunt for a good fall lippy so if you have an suggestions please leave them below. I always tend to do my makeup a little darker in the fall. I like a warm smoky eye and a little more color on my cheeks.
For this transition look I kept things pretty simple and only made a few little changes. This maxi dress is only $30 and the colors are the perfect mix of summer and fall. To take the look to fall I added my favorite denim jacket and hat for a more layered look. I also changed out my Tory Burch sandals (def. my most worn summer shoes) for my favorite fall booties. Y’all, these booties are amazing–I’m considering getting them in another color cause I’ve worn them so much already. I also changed out my sunnies for a pair of more muted aviators. Simple changes like this definitely make the look more fall appropriate.
